McDonald’s hamburger meat used to contain ammonium hydroxide that, among other things, has compounds that release flammable vapors, and with the addition of certain acids can turn into ammonium nitrate and be made into homemade bombs.
McDonald’s confirmed, however, that it has eliminated the use of ammonium hydroxide which is also an ingredient in fertilizers, household cleaners, and explosives.
